AKC Registration and Microchip Enrollment
Your puppy will be registered with the American Kennel Club with a family companion registration (on a limited and non-breeding registration) and its AKC Reunite ISO Microchip will be enrolled, both into your name. These fees, for registration and enrollment, are included in the purchase price of your puppy and will be completed for you at the same time. To complete them, I will require an official AKC name that begins with “Supernova's” followed by anything you would like, but the more unique the better. If you do not know (or care) what the AKC registered name is for your puppy, just let me know the name you have decided on using at home, and I will complete the registration with that name and the purchaser's last name (Supernova's Bailey Smith as an example).
A health certificate will be issued by our veterinarian and this will list the microchip number, the date that our veterinarian has given the examination; administered the combination and bordetella vaccines; the negative fecal result and when the puppy was last dewormed. Please provide this to your veterinarian during your first visit. We also administer the Neopar vaccine (early parvo protection that overrides maternal immunity) at 5 weeks of age as well as do multiple earlier dewormings. Puppies are very susceptible to all intestinal parasites and it is up to you to be sure to continue the deworming regiment on schedule and provide a monthly preventative which needs to be discussed with your veterinarian. Please be sure to take your puppy to the veterinarian as soon as possible for the initial check up. You will be receiving a copy of your health and purchase guarantee, with your puppies particular information, once it has been selected.
